My Passion for Poetry
Writing has always been my passion. I have been suffering with mental health issues starting at a very young age, so getting the right opportunities to work out in the world was never in the cards for me. There was a big chunk of my life when I couldn’t function due to my mental health struggles. Then fate intervened, I became pregnant with my first child. It changed my whole outlook on life, suddenly my mental health struggles were on the back burner and my focus and my whole world became being a mother. My daughter saved my life in more ways than she will ever know. Then I was blessed with my second daughter. She was meeting all of her milestones early or right on shedule. Then around her first birthday she started regressing from previous milestones she has mastered. She was later diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. Although the journey has been a process that weighs heavily on my heart, she is a living, breathing angel who fights every single day. I use my poetry as an outlet and wanted to start a brand to reflect on our struggles and advocate and relate to others walking similar paths in life’s unpredictable journey.
